About the role:

Here at Equifax we are undertaking an exciting global technological transformation with a customer-centric, cloud native approach. While security is at the forefront of our technology offerings, we’re also reducing complexities in our systems to create better outcomes for our customers. This includes decommissioning legacy applications, servers, data platforms and data centers.

We are looking for an International Chief Technology Officer to lead Australia and New Zealand’s information technology vision, strategy and execution. This dynamic leader will take a business approach to issues and have a thorough understanding of business processes, coupled with Information Technology/systems expertise. You will help drive top line growth, while managing operational costs.

As a technology expert, you will be responsible for identifying and introducing new technologies, trends and solutions and determine how these will be applied to the advantage of the business. The goal is to keep our technology in step, or ahead of competition and in support of planned growth. Additionally, you will work with the global team to ensure that we continue to build a customer-centric, world class organization.

As a leader in our business, you will also take care of our people. You will develop and maintain an appropriate organizational structure capable of supporting the information needs of Australia and New Zealand. This includes recruiting, developing and retaining a high-performance team of professionals. You will maintain Service Level Agreements with user organizations, as well as offshore partners to provide cost effective solutions.

From a financial perspective, you will take ownership and develop annual operating costs and capital budgets for information and technology system needs, in line with the corporate technology strategy and budgetary guidelines. Developing and implementing corporate-wide technology policies and procedures will also be a part of the CTO’s remit.

About you:

  • At least 15 years of progressive business experience and 10+ years direct involvement with managing global technology functions
  • Experience managing teams in a large complex matrix organization.
  • An engineering background and any understanding of product management would be highly desirable for this role
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrates high energy with self-confidence, and the ability to sell ideas and programs to others
  • Selection, construction, deployment and operation of complex systems as part of a large portfolio of applications
