Furthermore, s Equifax is going through a major business and technological process transformation, you will be playing an important role in the transformation team modernising our processes with new technology in the Cloud.
What you’ll do:
The Technical Data Analyst is the ‘front gate keeper’ of Equifax’s data assets, and is responsible for the ingestion and management of all Equifax data assets across both NZ and AUS. Through providing reliable, high performance data handling skills, you will support the optimal quality of Equifax’s products and services helping our customers make better decisions.
The key responsibilities of this role include data file transformation, data ingestion and management of core datasets within SLA, monitoring providers’ data supply, supporting internal and external stakeholders’ investigations and questions, developing tools and processes for generating insights on input data quality and data ingestion results and maintaining a high standard of data security, integrity and quality along the ingestion process. In addition, the individual is responsible for identifying automation or process improvement opportunities and develop processes independently or with the support of technical resources. This role will also include working directly with data providers and internal teams to implement a new or existing ingestion process for new data sources and/or improve the ingestion process for existing data sources. This position is suited to someone with good organisational & communication skills, technical skills and an eye to detail.
This individual will be given leadership opportunities for his/her horizontal or vertical growth in the organization. He/she will be empowered to identify, lead the design, develop and implement process improvements and transformation initiatives.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor Degree in at least one of the following: Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or another numerate discipline
- 2+ years experience in software development, database analysis and/or data management
- Proficient in SQL, Python & Tableau
- Intermediate Excel skills (vlookups/pivot tables level)
Extra points for any of the following:
- Java programming language
- Google Cloud experience (note Equifax will invest in your GCP certification if not already obtained it)
- Big data analysis experience
