What you'll do:

The Senior Data Analyst as part of the Data Quality & Linking team plays a key role in the day to day management of Equifax's core data assets developed to support our product offerings to the market. Playing a key role in the team's data steward responsibilities, they will work closely with Product, Sales, Technology and other Data & Analytics teams to drive data quality and coverage of each the data asset to be market leading.

The Senior Data Analyst will perform in-depth analysis to drive data quality improvements of their allocated data assets in alignment with the product team's strategic recommendations. Furthermore, Equifax is currently undergoing a global data transformation journey whereby data assets are being migrated to the cloud environment. The Senior Data Analyst will support the team's data stewards in defining business requirements for the transformed state, as well as assist in certification efforts to ensure the data exchanges being created are fit for purpose for use by our Product and Data & Analytics teams.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 4 years of analytical experience in the finance/banking industry or similar
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to relate on all levels through the organisation
  • Demonstrates technical competence and business acumen
  • Experience with data visualisation and data storytelling (e.g. Tableau)
  • Statistical skills (advanced statistics or analysis techniques)
  • Knowledge and in-depth understanding of relational database management systems
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Demonstrated experience and competency using SQL and at least one of the following: SAS, R, Python, Java, or similar.

Extra points for any of the following:
  • Geospatial experience (address, property, cadastral, device, and/or coordinate data)
  • Experience with Comprehensive Credit Reporting
  • Experience with big data platforms (e.g. Google Cloud Platform) and/ or understanding of concepts of big data analysis (e.g. MapReduce)
  • Understanding of Equifax or similar products
