What you will do:

The Customer Services Representative – Public receives inbound calls form the public in response to queries and/or

disputes about their credit history.

Primary responsibilities for the role are:

  • Manage inbound calls from the public to educate and provide guidance about our credit file services

  • Accessing the Credit Bureau system to process and update credit file information

  • Clarify details with Subscribers to Equifax by outbound calling

  • Respond by letter and/or email as appropriate to customers and within the legislative timeframes as prescribed by the Privacy Act 2020 and the Credit Reporting Privacy Code 2020.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 1 - 2 years’ customer service/call center experience required

  • Excellent telephone manner

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with handling difficult and demanding customers

  • Confident in working with various system applications

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook

  • A team player who has a positive attitude towards change and being flexible

  • Works well under pressure and with minimal supervision

  • Possesses initiative and takes on board challenges

  • Familiar with the Privacy Act 1993 and the Credit Reporting Privacy Code 2004 (desirable)

  • Previous experience in the credit industry (desirable)
